Benefits of Science (DNA)
The deoxyribonucleic acid which is also known as the DNA is a molecule that is complex and has the relevant information that is required to build and maintain an organism and almost all the cells in a multicellular organism has the full set of DNA that is required within that specific organism. In this talk, we are going to look at the various ways in which DNA has been beneficial to individuals and also to the society. DNA has been able to come up with breakthrough drugs and treatment for patients suffering from diseases that were seen to be serious and whose treatment were not able to be found but through the study and research of DNA revelations were made. Drugs have been able to be customized so that they may be able to complement a person’s biochemistry and genetic makeup and this is due to the fact that individuals are susceptible to certain diseases.
During paternity cases, DNA has played an important role and this is because it has enabled the paternity of a child to be able to be known and for this reason it has a great effect when it comes to the child’s upbringing. DNA has played a very crucial role when it comes to capturing culprits who may be involved in cases such as rape cases and other cases and therefore it has led to such kind of culprits being convicted. It shows that the presence of DNA is very important because it has brought about a lot of solutions in the forensic world.
When it comes to agriculture DNA has played a very crucial role and this is because it has enabled farmers to be able to breed animals who have better resistance to diseases and also who are able to produce more nutritious produce leading to a reduction of micronutrient deficiency in developing countries. More study and research is put on the discovery of DNA and this means that it will continue to revolutionize medicine, agriculture, forensics, paternity, and many other important fields in society today and this will lead to more discoveries in the future. DNA has played very important aspects and not only in the medical field but also in our societies and it has brought about individuals being able to make serious decisions based on DNA results. In this talk, we have been able to look at the various ways in which DNA has been of importance to not only individuals but also the society as a whole.
